Electrician Sask Polytechnic Applied Certificate

Are you looking for a career in the trades? Become an Electrician!

The Electrician Applied Certificate will provide you with the knowledge and skills for an entry-level electrician job. You will learn how to install, test, replace and repair lighting fixtures, wiring and electrical equipment, and how to read and interpret construction drawings. Plus, you’ll get plenty of hands-on practice using standard tools of the trade. Practice in class, then develop your skills further during the work experience component at the end of the program!

When you graduate, you’ll be prepared for an entry-level job as an apprentice in the trade. Trade time and academic credit may be available for graduates who find employment in the trade and register as apprentices.

This program is approximately 21 weeks long.

Admission Requirements

You’ll need Grade 11 with FDN MATH 20 or W&A MATH 20 or PRE CALC 20 and need to meet the English Language Requirement..

If you do not have the above academic requirement, please meet with a College advisor to discuss special admission options, including ACCUPLACER.
