Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR)
Do you have prior education, work experience or training that relates to your program area? Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition assesses what you know, regardless of how you’ve learned it.
For example, if you learned computer skills through an on-the-job experience or through self-directed learning, you may be able to gain PLAR credit for a related course.
Students are encouraged to carefully review a program’s admission requirements as PLAR is done on a course-by-course basis. Eligibility to undertake PLAR varies by program. An assessor would need to conduct a PLAR assessment and evaluate an individual’s performance. Fees may apply.
Contact our Admissions team with questions or to discuss potential eligibility for PLAR assessment testing.
