Primary Care Paramedic Sask Polytechnic Certificate

Train for an exciting career in delivering pre-hospital emergency care.

Learn how to perform physical assessments, recognize and manage medical and mental health issues, trauma injuries, obstetrical, cardiac and respiratory emergencies, and more. CPR Heart Saver ‘C’ AED/Standard First Aid, TLR and WHMIS training are included.

When you graduate, you’ll be eligible to write the licensing exam for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics and pursue employment opportunities at ambulance, air ambulance and fire protection services or at mining, manufacturing, milling or processing sites around the province.

This program is approximately 51 weeks long for a full-time program.

Admission Requirements

You’ll need Grade 12 with a min. avg. of 60% in ELA A30, ELA B30, one of BIO 30 or CHEM 30, and one of W&A MATH 30 or FDN MATH 30 or PRE CALC 30 and English Language Requirement. - specific to Primary Care Paramedic - (IELTS).

You’ll be required to provide evidence of a Criminal Record Check, a Vulnerable Sector Search, N95 respirator mask testing and immunization records to meet program requirements.

You must exhibit physical strength and fitness consistent with the requirements of professional practice.
